The opening of the event on the first day was great people were still streaming and even though the audience was not at its full capacity the the show went on. The combination of artist from both Africa and Italy sharing a stage was great. Momar Gaye, Sista Namely, Sun Sooley, Roots Mani and the Overjam Riddim Band really put on a great show.
Protoje, you're the man, with the great line up at Overjam this artist made his statement on stage. He is compared to the likes of Bob Marley and has made that reasoning because he does what he does best. This young artist is on his way to making big things happen as he proved himself while on stage performing.
Seeing Groundation for the first time live, there was really nothing more one could expect from them. Except the awesome performance they gave that evening. The set lasted so and one could not get enough of them. Their being at Overjam was amazing, this group has been around for a long time and they simply rocked and spread the vibes throughout the festival. Big up Groundation you rocked!!!
Like moths to a flame we're always attracted to the Bunfiresquad… that keeps the fire burning and believe me, the flames rose high last night. With Julian Marley in town it was unquestionable about having to see him perform right here in Vienna.
Seeing Turbulence in a more intimate space @ SUB, a few days after seeing him a a big festival was really great, this time not only did I really get to enjoy his performance but also got to see him interact with the audience. The vibe he creates when on stage is amazing.
Long anticipated and finally the day came, it was time for us at Africanlife to make our way to Germany. The 10 hour road trip even had one counting down the 1010 kilometers to a little town called Bersenbrück in the middle of nowhere but somewhere in Germany.
Irie Fm Radio Presenter Ron Muschette had a great task to fulfill. Every show needs a MC to run things and this special guest from Jamaica ran things smoothly. Should you tune into IRIE FM on any given Monday or Friday morning, you will most likely hear the voice ...
"This is no unknown artist" Busy signal has had me listening to his music from the time I was back in South Africa a night without Busy Signal's music at Baseline, Johannesburg with a Dj called Arch Angel, wouldn't be a night out. I wanted to see him from the point that he stepped ...
