Long anticipated and finally the day came, it was time for us at Africanlife to make our way to Germany.

The 10 hour road trip even had one counting down the 1010 kilometers to a little town called Bersenbrück in the middle of nowhere but somewhere in Germany. Funny, but ultimately this little town hosts one of the most phenomenal Reggae Festivals in Europe: the "Reggae Jam".

The atmosphere on arrival to Bersenbrück was astonishing, even though we were not the first to arrive, 2 days before the festival actually started, tents, mobile homes and caravans had already settled in their spaces on the allocated camping grounds. The weather had a role to play of course and it behaved, it was blazing hot. People were streaming in from the train station, driving in and at a blink of an eye the landscape around me slowly started transforming into a village on its own. We at Africanlife were surprised when venturing around the venue throughout the duration of the festival that we met many people from Vienna who had come so far to join into the festivities, support coming from miles away like the many others who had come from all over Europe.

All because of "Reggae Jam". I think for a moment it was disbelief that so many people from all around Europe were all there just for these 3 days to enjoy what one person had brought to reality when he started the festival 19 years ago.

It's so hard to even put what one felt into words, the hospitality at "Reggae Jam" was unlike any other I encountered, it was truly a warm and hearty experience that we felt from the organizing committee of the festival.
We at Africanlife.eu would like to say thank you to the Media Team, Martina and Dirk for being so kind and hospitable.
Without you our experience would have never been so great.

The massive really know what their in for when they decide to pack up and leave their homes to attend "Reggae Jam", its one of the festivals one could never miss or find an excuse not to attend. The event might only last 3 days, but the memories live on forever.

The artist performing at the festival only leave one in a trans, mesmerized, its such an overwhelming experience getting to see so many renowned artist all at one time. Mind blowing and kept on a musical high.

To the AMAZING "Sheriff" what you started 19 years ago has turned into a life time of memories for all who have ever attended the festival. Your work will never go unnoticed, what you do is magnificent. We would especially like to thank you for affording us the opportunity to attend your event. We will forever hold you close to our hearts.
Thank you does not begin to describe our dues to you. May you be well and wish you all the best.
