Celebrating an event that consecutively takes places for 20 years is truly amazing. There were not stops to this years celebration, being the 20th Anniversary of Reggae Jam. All the preparation that went into this event came from all walks of life and started at the beginning of the year for many others while the 2013 event had still been taking place and had not even ended.
I must honestly admit that even as an African, I have never encountered seeing so many people gather for a reggae festival, beyond astounding, just the locations itself where the festival was being held, was totally saturated at every corner with occupants. All in the name of reggae. Yet of course, with reason being that the line-up was sensational and yes the wonderful atmosphere that came along with it for the festival-goers to be apart of.
With a bang from the get go, the Reggae Jam Festival 2014, started with so many activities that took place, endless entertainment to fancy everyones taste, never stopping throughout the 3 day duration of the event.
All aspects of Reggae Jam were fully taken care of and the hospitality at this event never seems to seize us at Africanlife, its like being apart of a family. Our stay in Germany, Bersenbrück will always be one of the most memorable times of the year and our gratitude goes out to every single member of the Reggae Jam team who put in all the effort to make the 20th Reggae Jam Festival one of the most memorable events not only for us alone but for everyone who attended it, including the artist themselves.
It would have never been possible without the passion that a few individuals started out with 20 years ago, and their loyal patriotism to reggae to date that Reggae Jam celebrated its 20th Anniversary. Thank you Reggae Jam for carrying the Reggae Flame high, for some of us, these are strides we take, learn and seek to find more and a better understanding of different cultures, Reggae Jam does this and much more, because of its diversity. People from all walks of life, different countries, continents all in one single venue for 3 days that will forever be engraved in their hearts and minds. This union of people is righteoulsy is " One Love"
Our sincere appreciation goes out to Sheriff and Joanna who are the main people behind this fantastic event, to the Media Team, Martina and Dirk, the list of names is endless. To the Reggae Jam Team. You all have overwhelmed the hearts of many including ours.
Reggae Jam is simply the BEST
