Nu Chilly & Njie B, both these artists took it apon themselves to brace the massive with a surprise performance, filled with the AKASAA vibe. Seeing them perform on a bigger stage was something we all looked forward too.

Nu Chilly

Nu Chilly is a Gambian artist, based in England where he continues to produce his own music. He is inspired by artists such as Burning Spear, Dennis Brown and Bob Marley. He began singing with local drumming groups in the Gambia, particular a group called Roots Calypso, where he sang lead vocal for 5 years before traveling to Europe. He lived and performed in Germany and Switzerland.

In 2000, travelling back to the Gambia, he met members of the Suns of Light who motivated him to continue producing music passionately. He later then studied music at The Sunland Music School which helped him in his quest of achieving his goals. Shortly after, Nu Chilly released a single called "New Chilly Rise". It became a hit and as a result, he was signed by the Suns of Light with whom he recorded his first album "The Children".

Nu Chilly continues to produce and is currently working on a new album which is due towards the end of the year.

Njie B

Njie B "The Conqueror" is very near and dear to the hearts of music lovers in The Gambia. Njie B's name rings a bell, and has now become a regular feature in public discourse, his name has undoubtedly gone down the history books as far as Gambian music is concerned.

Njie B "The Conqueror",  is a Farafeni-born music star, in 2003 he recorded his first studio album titled, "Ignorance" and signed a contract with the National Aids Secretariat (NAS). In 2005, he released his second album titled "I see them coming". The album contained 10 tracks with a CD clip titled "I Pray". Later going on to record another 2 albums titled "Praise Jah and Falling in Love" in 2007. He strives at connecting his musical talents with other musicians based all over the world, promoting Gambian music and sharing his message with both artist and fans.

We wish the Flag Flow High Senegambia Promoters and all their artists all the best in their careers and hope to see them back in Austria, Vienna soon!
