The 10th January was a great moment for the Austrian Reggae scene. Deliman celebrated his birthday and launched his new EP, with the title "Still Blazing".

Missin Link, Jean Galy
and Singing Gold performed on stage before the main act from Deliman himself.

Missin Link

Missin Link from Zimbabwe, based in Vienna, immediately drew my attention while he rapped his own lyrics over Hip Hop tunes. I still wish we could see many more Hip Hop events in Vienna.

Jean Galy

I must confess that I'd never heard anything about and from Jean Galy from Togo, based in Vienna. I was positive surprised when he trod on stage and started to perform. He raps in french over the tunes and this is what makes his music in Austria unique. I am sure this guy will find his way into the international music scene.

Singing Gold

Singing Gold is a Jamaican artist, based in Germany. His music is powerful and energetic and a mix between dancehall, drum & bass and 2 step. It was very interesting to hear some new sounds in the riddims, overdubbed by Singing Gold´s Voice.

These three artists did a good job entertaining the massive and slowly built up nice vibes for the main artist.

Deliman and The Fireman Crew

Deliman is one of Austria´s biggest talents in the Reggae scene. I remember seeing Deliman after his Trichromatic Sound career for the first time performing on stage as "Deliman" and this was a few years ago. Even at that time I really believed that he was very talented as a singer and songwriter.

During this time Deliman and The Fireman Crew were nominated for the "Austrian Newcomer Award 2010" and gained it in two categories. They also participated to the Austrian/Swiss Reggae Contest, won it and got the opportunity to play at the Rototom Sunsplash 2010 in Benicassim Spain, Europe's largest Reggae Festival.

After the release of Deliman’s Debut-Album „Unconquerable“ in 2011 and a few single-releases with international producers, he’s now back with his brandnew EP called „Still Blazing“. It was produced by the young Hiphop Producer, Beatmaker & DJ „Phil Chronics“ in collaboration with another Beatmaker & DJ Chiko, the Reggae Backing-Band Fireman Crew and Union World Music. It contains five mind blowing tracks that perfectly combine Reggae & Hip hop music and shows that this music doesn’t necessarily have to be from Kingston or New York to sound great. Renown old school Reggae samples mixed with bouncing Hip hop Beats and lyrics full of flow and a conscious message is what defines Deliman’s EP „Still Blazing“.
