Back to reality…
a weekend to be remembered, a line-up that catered diversely for all ages and groups, a series of activities, markets with beautiful crafts and traditional wear, paintings and jewelry, live music and so much more.
Even though one has to reflect back over the past few weeks, the weather did not give any indication of clear skies but fortunately the heavens opened and stayed clear throughout the weekend of the AKASAA festival. All festivities started on Friday the 14th June with programmes that entertained the participants throughout the weekend and ended on the 16th June. Artist from Jamaica, Africa and Europe braced the stage with their performances entertaining the crowd who where enjoying themselves. Every face I came across seemed to have had a smile on it, that alone gives an indication of how satisfied everyone was at the event. I suppose the only time that I wished it would rather rain is when it really seemed to have been getting extremely hot
There so many activities of the event to report on, that we at Africanlife.eu have chosen to report on individual sections of the event rather than have a broad overview of the event. So look out for all the articles on AKASAA that are still to come.
All articles will include photos and some might have video footage as well!
