05.02.2013, WUK Vienna
Crazy, wonderful, awesome, great call it whatever you want to…wonderful sounds filled Wuk, on the 5th February 2013. Great line up had some local and international Artist, Dj’s and Performers entertaining the Vienese massive.
The line up was Lee Scratch Perry, Adrian Sherwood, Dubblestandart, Jazzmine Tutum, Subatomic Sound System, Echo Beach Sound System and Baba Sound.
Lee „Scratch“ Perry, has dedicated 50 years of his life to music, making him a legend and he is also one of the most influential figures in the development of reggae, ska and dub especially in Jamaica and internationally. I’d personally say that in his case “Age aint nothing but a number” the man still has the heart and passion for music at his age, giving all he can to his fans. Must say it was a great performance.
The dubs sounds were great, love the performance by Jazzmine Tutum, she had a poetic feel to her performance it’s not very often you come across these type of artist in Europe. All the Artist, Dj’s and Performers had the crowd jammin to every single beat. Sure every one who turned up at the event would want to rewind back time just to live the moment through again.
Must say that its great being able to attend events of this kind at the beginning of the year hope the tempo only esculates and that something bigger comes to Vienna. A big thanks to Bunfiresquad and Bushplanet for the efforts in making Vienna come alive.
