From 14. to 17.8.2013 reggae music is coming back to the idyllic location at the confluence of Tolminka and Soca river! World-renowned reggae stars such as Inner Circle and Groundation, will deliver four unforgettable days of music, sun, culture and fun!
From the 14th to the 18th of August along the banks of the Soča river in Tolmin, Sotočje (Slovenia) will be held the 2nd Edition of the OVERJAM INTERNATIONAL REGGAE FESTIVAL, organised by the cultural association OVERJAM (Italia), KURZ ROCK VIBE (Slovenia) and CIK KÜNSTLERHAUS (Austria).

Tickets for the whole festival are now for sale (5 days & 4 nights and free preparty) until August 13th at the price for 89€. Tickets at the event will cost 99€.
Tickets for one day at presale cost 25€, at the location 29€, you can get tickets for the weekend at the price 48€ and for 51€ at the event.
Children up to 12 years will have free entrance, and children younger than 16 must be accompanied by their parents. Regardless of the price for the tickets or the length of accommodation at the festival, CAMPING WILL BE FREE, and it will also have AN AREA FOR THE YOUNGEST VISITORS, showers with warm water, service for handicap people, info point with battery chargers, free WI-FI, shop, bar, big parking space and parking for campers.
Attention! Music is not the only protagonist at the festival …
Beside all the attention that music will get, we will also incourage the brave ones to attent evening conferences, introduced by international lectures. Within the Overjam University a varity of subjects will be discused. To name a few: sustainable economy and development, managing natural sources, etc.
And about culture, nature and cuisine: Many activites are planed during the days within the festival, such as workshops by non-government organizations, dance and drums workshops, sport activites and street artists. There will also be enough space for stands with food, drinks and art crafts.

Location
As reggae is not just music, but a way of life, Overjam will take care of cultural activities too - this year's motto "Think green" includes sustainable development, sustainable economy, and covers different topics that concerns all of us, irrespective of the country, in which we live. Conferences and lectures, daily workshops, awareness about the importance of nature, animals and other people - these are the topics covered by the Overjam University.
Not only music, but also nature, culture, food and wine will have their own place at this beautiful location, which will host NGOs daily activities, massage, yoga, dance and percussion workshops, street artists and sports activities.
Ethnic craft stalls and food stands will enrich the Festival’s offer with the specialties of the hosting region.
The Festival’s line-up reflects the international character of the event, and offers an insight into every genre of reggae music. To this year’s edition will participate many Slovenian artist, among others BRO, Roots in Session, Raggalution, Freedom Fighters, Sell out and others!
Artists
Barrington Levy, an exceptional career of this amazing talent – legend of reggae music – began over 30 years ago. He is known as the first original dancehall singer that has inspired many other modern musicians. Between the years 1975 and 1985 he realised memorable hits such as “My Black Girl”, “Sister Carol”, “Under Mi Sensi” and one of the most famous reggae songs of all time “Here I Come”.
In his career Levy has performed with the biggest names in reggae and pop music: Ellis, Shaggy, Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston, U2, Snoop Dogg (now known as Snoop Lion).
His live performances are once in a life time experience of pure reggae and dancehall rhythms.
Overjam goals are higly ambitious and wish to combine music with social elements at a uniqe location in the arms of nature and distinguishing turist destination.
Festival will take place by the river Soča, near the Julian Prealps and camping will be free.
Overjam is an international festival in Slovenia, not to far away from the two borders, at a perfect location for everyone from Balkan, Austria and Germany. Three worlds, three different and very rooted cultures as Italian, Slovenian, Austrian-German, are brought together in the spirit of green-red-yellow music.
This year, artists from Slovenia and from countries of ex republic of Yugoslavia are getting more attention. BRO (Mate Brodar) and TADIMAN (Siti Hlapci) will introduce themselves on main stage where Freedom Fighters, Dubtafari Sound System and Hornsman Coyote from the Serbian band Eyesburn will also perform. A new reggae force RAGGALUTION from Kranj will also receive their chance to enhance visitors. SELL OUT is an energetic band from Kočevje, ROOTS IN SESSION are the veterans that will perform at dancehall, Djane Sista will perform on dub stage, KILLO KILLO from Novi Sad is also coming, from Zagreb the band BRAIN HOLIDAYS and WAITAPU, a dub band from Čakovec and numeorus djs and soundsystems at Beach Yard, including locals Tmintafari, Kantriman, Reggaemylitis, Pupparobie&Dubsystem, Roots Daughters, Bad Gal Forward, etc.
Overjam festival welcomes all reggae music fans, curious visitors and turists that wish to taste all styles of this music: over 110 artists from 40 countries will perform on 5 stages in 4 days of the festival.
Beside the performance of Barrington Levy, the legendary Inner Circle, band whos music carreer is over 50 years long, are also appearing. BEACH YARD
Many crews in soundsystems from all around Europe will diversify the days on the beach by the river Soča. Over 50 djs from around the world will play amazing reggae / dub / dancehall music, that will also inspire dance workshops, drums, showcase and many other activites.
Due to massiv demands from Italy and middle Europe, the organizers have decided to start the festival with a free preparty on August the 13th. It will be the last act from the over 20 official Overjam preparties, that occupied all of Europe (Sofia, Rome, München, Graz, Ljubljana, Bergamo and many other cities) in the previous months. In the afternoon and in the evening many famous DJs and soundsystems from Italy (Jamstone Sound and Raina (Villa Ada Sound)), Slovenia (Freedom Fighters), Austria (Boomarang Sound) and other countries will perform.
The vision of the festival, that is taking place at the junction of three countries, is to become a symbol of integration, peace and bringing together diversity.
