It’s that time again: Africa Fashion Day Berlin returns showcasing another array of international designers from Africa and the African Diaspora at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week 2nd July 2013.

Africa Fashion Day Berlin is a unique communication platform that represents innovative designers from Africa and the African diaspora in Germany. We bring fashion on the catwalk that is modern and cosmopolitan. Our designers are inspired by their individual visions as well as global trends from across the world.

Africa Fashion Day Berlin is honoured to unveil its first patron in Dr. Auma Obama. on the event: "Africa is increasingly seen as a continent with complex cultures and traditions which not only generate unique and distinct talents but also offer new perspectives to well-known European topics.

In many ways, Africa can and must be regarded as an equal partner in the creative sector by now. Africa Fashion Day Berlin is an excellent example for this development. It is perfectly suited to demonstrate Africa’s growing self-awareness and presence on the world stage."

Get carried away along with actresses Annabelle Mandeng and Dennenesch Zoudé, who have already confirmed their attendance  This summer we will introduce more fashion designers from Africa and the African diaspora to the German as well as an international audience that Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin draws in.

Journalist and Photographers will have an extensive opportunity to connect with our Designers and the organizers at the press conference followed by a photo call. Interview question to our patron are welcomed and will be passed onto her management.

Let yourself be carried away by an extraordinary show with outstanding fashion, brilliantly set centre stage in an exclusive setting.
