Jah Bouks a.k.a Worin Gerol Shaw known also as Boukie was born in St. Thomas, a community also known as Winchester. At the age of 12 he started doing music, leaving St Thomas for Portmore where he did a lot of community stage shows in and around his community. Jah Bouks's musically found identity represents conscious Africa, Rastafari, Love, unity and a positive outlook.

"Call Angola" comes with no introduction, this catchy tune has shot across the world. Amazing that I too for a moment before realising that he was Jamaican thought that Jah Bouks was from the motherland Africa. But none the less he struck a nerve with this song. On stage when performing "Call Angola" many in the audience became ecstatic. Jah Bouks definately has a rambunctious effect on the audience that touches deep inside our hearts. Illey ..."Call Angola"...calling to Africa. Well Jah Bouks is able to carry his message so passionately through the lyrics he sings that one even forgets geographically where one is in that point in time when he is on stage.
